European Union-Egypt agreement : migration control at the heart of a ‘strategic and global’ agreement

The ‘strategic and global’ agreement signed between the European Union (EU) and Egypt on March 16th includes a ‘migration’ section, demonstrating the EU’s determination to continue externalising its migration policy by increasing the number of agreements with neighbouring countries, despite the associated risks of human rights violations.
